Helpful Information

ATTENTION: ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24 AND TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31 WE HAVE A SCHEDULE CHANGE!!! On these three days our office hours are 7:30a-10a. We will begin seeing walk in patients at 7:30am on a first come, first served basis. Our phones will turn on at 7:30 am if you wish to schedule an appointment for those days. No walk ins will be accepted after 10 am and the phones will be off for scheduling appointments after 10 am on those days.

 

 

 

WALK IN HOURS WILL BEGIN FOR THE SEASON ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2019.  Walk ins for simple, acute visits only will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis from 7:30 am until 8:15 am Monday through Friday. Simple, acute visits include things like ear infection, strep throat, pink eye. We will not see any infants under the age of 6 months during walk in hours, nor any complicated or non-acute things such as abdominal pain, headache, wheezing or any illness present longer than a few days. The walk in spots will be limited in number. If we have exceeded our capacity by the time you arrive, you will be offered the first available appointment in our regular morning schedule. There will not be any ancillary staff available during these hours for other things such as phone calls or prescription or form pick up. We ask that you please bear with us as we trial this service out and that you please follow the rules, so as not to be disappointed if we are unable to see you during the walk in time period.

PLEASE NOTE: NO WALK IN HOURS IN JUNE, JULY, OR AUGUST

In the event of a snowstorm with significant accumulation of snow or ice, we  may need to close. We will follow the emergency levels for Franklin County. For a Level 1 Emergency, the office will remain open. For a Level 2 or 3 Emergency, our office will be closed. As always, there will be a physician on call to speak to you if you have an urgent matter that cannot wait until regular office hours to resume. Check our Facebook page for up to date information.

NEW HAPPENINGS AT PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT MEDICINE:

SATURDAY MORNING WALK IN HOURS PILOT STARTING!!!

As a convenience to our patients we are going to trial Saturday morning walk in hours from 8am-9am, starting Saturday, September 7, 2019. These hours are are offered as a convenience and are ONLY for SIMPLE, ACUTE ill visits such as pink eye, strep throat, ear infection. We will not see any infants under the age of 6 months during walk in hours, nor any complicated or non acute conditions such as abdominal pain, constipation, headache or any illness present longer than a few days. There will not be a phone nurse available on Saturday mornings and we will not fill out any forms or be able to do medication refills. The doors will be locked at 9:00am; anyone arriving after 9:00 am will not be seen. These spots are walk in, first come, first served only. We ask that you please follow these rules so this that this runs smoothly for everyone.

*In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations, we are beginning to do routine 30 month check ups on all children.

*We have also begun doing fluoride treatments at recommended intervals as well as cholesterol screenings.
